The annual classic weekend held by the Albany Vintage & Classic Motorcycle Club Inc on 5th & 6th November 2011 was once again a huge success.

Saturday morning on Stirling Terrace was well attended by a great assortment of motorcycle & riders with a good attendance from the public.

This was followed up by a fund raising poker run with approx 150 entrants and great prizes donated by local sponsors.

Sunday’s time trial event which is open to pre 1980 bikes was run in perfect weather and contested by 97 entrants from around the state.

A good number of spectators admired the variety of machines on display & were entertained by the antics of the competitors on bikes from the mid 1920’s through to the late 1970’s.

The winner with the best consecutive times was Ryan Hart from Bunbury riding a 1978 Yamaha 400 with an error margin of 0.01 of a second.

All proceeds after start up & running costs deducted are donated to various Albany organizations with the major recipient being Albany Volunteer Fire & Rescue.
