As usual there was a good turn-out for
the ride to Two People’s Bay. We had a real mixture of bikes including
three singles, Dick on his Velocette Mac, Reg on his BSA and Garry on
his Ariel Red Hunter.
Daniel made the trip on his Moto Guzzi Convert
from Bow River and being an 8 am start he must have got out of bed
pretty early. Lez arrived from Denmark on his Gold Wing with tales of
the Laverda Jota he’s imported from England.
Good to see Russell on his Hyosung and David’s
son accompanied him on the Harley while David Webb had his
grand-daughter on the back of the trike. Ron was back from Jurien too,
riding his Triumph.
We rode there along Mercer Road and
through Lower King, the weather fine, although a bit nippy. When we got
there we had the place to ourselves and all the BBQ’s worked - which
makes a change for these breakfast runs, although some worked better
than others.
While we were cooking Ian arrived on his trail
bike (Suzuki 250). and John on his new F800GS BMW twin, I think its the
cleanest I’ve seen any of his bikes! (only very temporary state - web
ed)
After
we’d finished it was decided to go to Cosi’s cafe for a coffee, some
had to go home or do other duties, but we had a sizeable crowd at
Cosi’s and I thought they coped very well, bringing out extra tables
and chairs and the service for the coffees was good too.
All good fun, by the time we got home it was
midday. Thanks to Andy Burn for going back-up.
