BOXING DAY RUN

THE Boxing Day afternoon run to Denmark was very well attended with over 20 bikes and some new faces. There were a lot of BMW's on this ride, apart from a couple of K's they were all 2 valve Boxers including three mid-seventies R60/6. Don's Indian was the oldest bike, followed by Barry's 1956 BSA Gold Flash. Huw's newly restored 1964 BMW 60/2, Huw's BMWwhich was ridden down from Perth, via Nannup, Pemberton etc, caused a lot of admiring looks. It was the bike's first run, which was trouble free. The clean, oil tight motor a sign of a meticulous restoration. Matt Redshaw turned up on his newly acquired 1976 BMW 90/6, Matt's using it to travel to work, and the occasional ride while he's rebuilding his BSA. Some of the other new faces were Lawrence on his Ducati and Andrew and Sue on their R65 BMW . After a bit of socialising by the banks of the Denmark river riders set off in their own time and pace back to Denmark. Thanks to Neil and Robin Bromilow for going back-up.
