Porongurups Denmark Ride

With 23 bikes on the ride we were slightly down on the 40-50 bikes we’ve been having lately. Maybe the weather was a bit warm.

After passing through various road works on Chester Pass Road we turned down the Porongurups Road to Mt Barker, a great ride with little traffic.

Bruce's
          virginal white BMW.
We stopped at the Bakery, where Bruce caught up with us after buying Don’s R60/2 BMW on his way to Peaceful Bay and then back to Perth. We then rode down the Muir Hwy before taking the turn-off to Denmark where about 30kms down the road we came across Mike Hyland who had rode over to join us.

          look-out.
The markets were on in Denmark so we decided to head to the Mt Shadforth Road look-out instead where we had the place and the view to ourselves.

Bruce’s BMW was aquitting itself well, although the oil filler cap had come loose and there was a fair bit of oil decorating the once white bike.

After lunch and a chat it was time to head home, with some heading to the markets.
