It was slightly windy as practice started at 8 am, when eighty four
of the eighty six entrants lined up for practice. About mid-morning the
wind dropped and the sun came out: it couldn’t have been better.
At midday I witnessed Geoff
Holmes and Regina Wolf making their
marriage vows in front of the monument at the top of Mt Clarence. They
then came down to enjoy the rest of the event as a newly-married
couple: Geoff and Regina in the 1949 HRD Vincent (No17).

The Saul Fraser Award of encouragement went to Richard Tolman. This

There we less people through the gate this year, but like the
weather this is one thing we have no say in. I hope and trust that
those participating and those watching enjoyed themselves.
