Kamballup Hall

NOW today dawned a little damp, not too bad but you’d think we would be down on numbers — no way, 27 bikes rolled up with well over 30 people — great isn’t it?

KAMBALLUP HALL:Too nice to sit inside Kamballup Hall.

After greeting 3 visitors we were off to our first stop, Upper Kalgan Tearooms for a cuppa. Some went via the scenic route which took in Marine Drive and Lower King, while others went straight there.

It did sprinkle a little bit there which saw everyone squeezed into the little cover that was available. While there, now I won’t mention who, discovered she had her mother’s wet weather pants on back to front, I’m not really sure what clicked first. Was it the knee padding that was on the back of her leg? The extra material at the front of the pants and the tight bum part or the studs the wrong way round?

Now, did Marilyn who dressed her do this on purpose or was she a little sleepy — we’ll never know, but it was funny. Mind you I can remember someone putting a full face helmet on back to front once — I can’t remember who that was, but we all do daft things, and have a good laugh about it.

The ride from Manypeaks to South Stirlings although a fairly straight road was brilliant with the flowers and canola adding colour to the Stirlings.

Thanks to Mick and Linda for going back-up.
